Professor Quilliams transformative method of resurrecting light from societal darkness encompasses the spiritual and artistic dimensions of Aboriginal culture. His aesthetic and conceptual modes between multiple art practices explores the concept of metaphoric ‘Indigenous Art’, narratives.
Winner of NAIDOC Aboriginal Artist of the Year, Human Rights and Walkley Awards, Wayne is nominated as a Master of Photography by National Geographic and has created, curated and shown more than 280 exhibitions throughout the world including Berlin, London, Cairo, Paris, Havana, Moscow, Vienna, Tokyo and New York.
“Each photograph is a literal expression of intrepid life experiences, a visual narrative reflecting 30 years of empathic journeys in rural, remote and urban communities, in contrast my art is an abstraction of cultural connection to land and spirit”, Wayne said.
Wayne currently has four exhibitions traveling the globe.
