Teresa Montejo
Painter, twenty years old.
One significant goal that I have is to put myself out there, become a role model for other people, and be more involved with my community and the arts. During my high school career, I learned that to be positively noticed, you have to work very hard and speak up for what you believe in. You must try your best in everything you do so that people can see you as someone who is a mentor. I actually never thought I would be where I am now as a person because I can be quite an introvert. As I became more aware of what is really important and how easy it is to make a difference in your own life, as well as other people's lives, I made a change within myself. I am a local artist, in Lexington Kentucky, who paints in her free time. I was born in Chiapas, Mexico, and have been painting since I was a little girl, third grade to be exact. I am in my second year of college and the most important goal for me right now is to become an Art Education teacher and pass on what I have learned from all these years of painting.
