I am a reluctant artist. I rely on Nature to assist me in creating accidental pieces which I then transform into how I see the world. We work together, Nature and I, therefore I cannot take all the credit for the creative process. I say reluctant because I would rather not have this urge to continually explore and take time out to do so! I would like to just be still, without the creative and often critical inner push to come up with 'something'. But like Nature, I can never be still and can never rest. So for me, making and exploring is a way of hanging onto this self in an ever increasingly crazy world; a way of solidifying this 'me' and understanding my fleeting human purpose and being.
