The more I paint, the more I realize my life to be a series of very intensive art lessons and my art, in turn, to be full of life lessons. Line, shape, color, texture, form and mark-making symbolize boundaries, moods, scars, wrinkles, experiences and memories I have collected or left behind.

PASSAGE is the main theme of my current work. Light passages become clarity and fun. Passages of doubts and fears are represented by moody darks. It is through these passages that I share with my viewer, for we have all experienced these journeys.

Creating with mixed media allows for spontaneity and contemplation. Honoring these parallels between my art and life have made me a more thoughtful, honest and grateful human.
