(“Basketry by Beth”)
Beth has been making a variety of basketry from natural fibres since exposure to the art at an exhibition by Basketry SA (South Australia) in 2008, subsequently becoming a member. While always alert to the possibilities of different fibres, she finds her greatest satisfaction in working with the needles from she-oak and pine trees and palm inflorescences, using stitching, wrapping and random weave.
Beth sells her work through the Barossa Regional Gallery (Tanunda SA) and the Laura Information Centre (Laura SA). She maintains a blog basketrybybeth.blodspot.com .
