Take a breath and dive into Haejin Yoo's artwork with an open mind.

Haejin Yoo's latest series takes a bold turn with the unique use of acrylics, ink, and texiles on raw canvas. While the acrylics bring life and colour, the ink adds contrast, the raw canvas instills the emotive foundation, and the thread is intended to make the emotions feel as real as Haejin felt them.

Upon first glance, each composition portrays pleasant beauty. But, after closer inspection you'll notice there's a deeper meaning behind why each stroke, flower, placement, and even pattern has been chosen. Whether a hidden meaning or an obvious portrayal, this series is based on truth; on real experiences, and on real feelings - dark or light.
