Unity 2019

XR, the Extinction Rebellion, brought together people of all ages and all walks of life, united around a common goal; to raise awareness of the climate crisis. I took this image at an XR Extinction Rebellion protest held in Nelson. XR challenges the narrative of climate change as a slow burning problem that needs fixing at some distant point on the horizon. It's an emergency that requires drastic and immediate action, and offers us the opportunity to live much more satisfying, less materialistic lifestyles.
