Daniele's formative art years were in Montreal’s traditional French Beaux Arts in early 70’s. She is from a long lineage of visual artists, art curators, archaeologists, she studied anthropology after her art degree and set to travelled and lived around the world.
What makes Daniele’s art so unique is the interplay of watercolour's fluidity and the spontaneity of the gestural marks. It is like a visual improvisation making the work's story unique, free, loose and fresh.
Daniele is a risk taker and her art technics reflect her personality. She is a fervent observer and her original themes make her art remarkably distinctive and vivid as she takes the pulse of the people surrounding her. Her flamboyant uses of watercolours and unorthodox range of mix media is wild and fits the mood of each visual story she creates. Every paper fibre, pigment mark come to be one in a rare aesthetic harmony.
Daniele has held several solo shows in Canberra, Melbourne, Brisbane, Singapore, Nairobi and Montreal. She has also participated in numerous group exhibitions where ever she lived here and throughout the world. Daniele’s best known sculpture is a huge ephemeral fire sculpture for the Wynnum Festival in 2014. Video link below https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=- EEArb_Dp9A&list=PLJWFi4qX3e0H0R4m12Z2wbW20tKk9mq1J
